Saturday, October 3rd and October 10th from 9am to 1pm

TreePlanting

Please join the Ozaukee County Fish Passage Program, the Ulao Creek Partnership, the Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited (SEWTU), the Milwaukee Audubon Society and other organizations for one or both tree planting/invasive species removal events at our Mole and Ulao Creek habitat restoration project sites on Saturday, October 3rd and October 10th from 9am to 1pm.

They will be planting numerous trees and shrubs adjacent to the stream channel at both project sites to provide bank stabilization, combat invasive vegetation, and improve habitat for fish and wildlife. They will also be removing invasive vegetation at each project site to reduce competition with native species.

Some shovels, small tools and gloves will be provided to help plant the smaller tree and shrub stock, but if you can bring any shovels, hand trowels and gloves that would be appreciated. We will also be installing protective cages around the trees and shrubs.

Please attend if you can. The more volunteers we have, the greater the success will be!

A lunch will be provided at both events at 12:00pm.

RSVP’s are appreciated.
