Our October 2018 Business Member Spotlight is Rotary Club of Milwaukee!

For the past 4-years, the Rotary Club of Milwaukee has been cleaning up the Milwaukee River near Locust Street even braving the snow this past year.

The Rotary Club of Milwaukee has a long history working toward healthier, greener and better-connected neighborhoods. In 1993 Rotary co-founded of the River Revitalization Foundation which launched its support for improving the quality of Milwaukee’s waterways.  Each summer for more than a decade, Rotary has sponsored a music series at the Milwaukee Rotary Amphitheater at Discovery World in order to bring people down to enjoy the bounty that is our lakefront.    Rotary worked closely with the Urban Ecology Center to reclaim old industrial land along the Milwaukee River to create the Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum.  Come spring Rotarians enjoy planting trees and pitching in to clean up the Milwaukee River.   And, we are proud supporters of Milwaukee Riverkeeper and appreciate all their team does to protect and enhance our rivers!
