Our December 2018 Business Member Spotlight is raSmith!

raSmith has demonstrated a commitment to sustainability and improving communities since its founding. Giving time to their local neighborhoods is important. Employees invest their time and skills in causes meaningful to them, such as Milwaukee Riverkeeper. During their first year, the group collected 150 pounds of trash along their adopted Underwood Creek segment in Wauwatosa.

This isn’t the company’s first time working along the area’s rivers. The Milwaukee River was important as part of the seven-mile Greenway Master Plan in Milwaukee. In Ozaukee County, the firm worked to improve natural resources for the conservation, restoration and management of fish and wildlife resources and their habitats.

“We believe in giving back to our communities to improve and build on our environment. Becoming a part of Milwaukee Riverkeeper’s mission allows us to do that. Cleaning our rivers brings us back in touch with how we treat our environment and reminds us to value the nature that we are lucky enough to be surrounded with.”
