As the leaves turn\, you’ll paddle a scenic stretch of river surrounded by vibrant autumn colors while learning about the seasonal changes happening in and around the river. \nLed by a knowledgeable Milwaukee Riverkeeper naturalist\, this relaxed\, beginner-friendly outing highlights the beauty of the river corridor\, with opportunities to spot wildlife and take in the crisp fall air. \nThis is a perfect opportunity to explore seasonal changes in a new way and experience the beauty of fall foliage from a completely different perspective. SUMMARY:Intro to Paddling with Forward Outdoor
DESCRIPTION:Events\nIntro to Paddling\nRegister Now \nDescription:\nFirst-time paddler or beginner? Get your feet wet with Milwaukee Riverkeeper and the experts at Forward Outdoor.  We’ll go over the basics of paddling\,  safety\, and rules of the river.  No experience is necessary\, this short trip will help attendees get comfortable launching\, taking out\, and paddling.  Attendees will experience a river trip that’s easy to replicate on your own.  Paddlers will meet at Badger Meter Park before being shuttled to Thiensville Village Park. There\, Milwaukee Riverkeeper staff will lead a 15-minute lesson on the basics of paddling technique before a paddle back to Badger Meter Park via the Milwaukee River.  \nParticipants should arrive at the parking lot in Badger Meter Park at 9:45 AM\, overflow parking is available on-street nearby. At 10:00 AM the shuttle will leave for Thiensville Village Park where the boats will be unloaded and everyone will be fit for personal flotation devices and paddles. Expect a relaxed pace with time built in for teaching and a short bathroom stop.
