After over 10 years of tireless dedication, the Milwaukee River at Estabrook Park runs free again! Milwaukee Riverkeeper joined with community members, fisherman, property owners and elected officials to fight for dam removal, and thanks to all of these efforts, the Estabrook Dam has finally been demolished! We want to bring all “Dam Warriors” together to celebrate this moment in our community’s history and mark this generational milestone for the Milwaukee River.  Please join us for an evening by the river and across from the former dam site, and hear from those who worked so hard to make Estabrook Dam removal a reality.

Program

5:30 p.m. –  Cocktail Hour
6:30 p.m. – Presentation with remarks from Riverkeeper Cheryl Nenn, County Executive Chris Abele, Mayor Barrett, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District Executive Director Kevin Shafer
7:00 p.m. – Celebration

Join us to celebrate a free flowing Milwaukee River.  Your ticket will support more work to create a healthy, free flowing river.

  • $20 One Dam Ticket (or two tickets for $30!)

  • $50 One Dam Warrior Ticket
    – A small piece of the Estabrook Dam!
    – 5 raffle tickets for the once in a lifetime opportunity to win a Milwaukee Riverkeeper Pixel – single speed bicycle, by Fyxation. (must be present to win; *see photo below)
    – 1 drink ticket and dam bites (aka appetizers)
    – Includes a $30 tax-deductible donation that will support our work to restore and protect the river for future generations.
  • $150 One River Restorer Ticket
    – A mounted piece of the Estabrook Dam on quartz with engraved brass plaque (limited quantity)
    – 10 raffle tickets for the once in a lifetime opportunity to win a Milwaukee Riverkeeper Pixel – single speed bicycle, by Fyxation. (must be present to win; *see photo below)
