Smart Salting: Parking Lots & Sidewalks

Description:

Are you a private contractor who clears snow and ice for local businesses? Join the Parking Lots & Sidewalks training session and become an industry leader in responsible snow and ice management.  We will show you how to help protect our waterways, reduce salt usage, save money and better serve your customers at the same time!

Training Session Will Focus On:

• Application rates
• Equipment calibration
• Emerging methods of snow and ice management

The course concludes with an assessment, and the opportunity to become a Smart Salting Certified Contractor.

Participants should expect:

Training will facilitated by Wisconsin Salt Wise. Breakfast, snacks, and refreshments will be provided during the program.

Please notify Milwaukee Riverkeeper staff of any dietary requirements in advance.

Certification:

An optional assessment will be offered at the end of the training session to become certified.
