Working for Clean Water for Future Generations

At Milwaukee Riverkeeper, we believe that access to clean water for everything from drinking and bathing to recreation is a human right and it’s our duty to ensure our communities have safe access. From dam removals and supporting farmers in rural communities, to advocating for proper application of road salts, our team fights tirelessly for our waterways alongside communities for a drinkable, swimmable, fishable future for the Milwaukee River Basin.

Nurturing the Next Generation of Career Waterkeepers

We take pride and pleasure in our work to foster the next generation of career water professionals. We regularly partner with AmeriCorps and Public Ally programs, the Marquette Trinity Fellowship program, and several local colleges and universities to host Service Members, Fellows, and Interns. We guide our team members through meaningful and challenging work to protect and advocate for our rivers while nourishing their personal and professional development.
