Paddle a scenic stretch of the Milwaukee River with a knowledgeable Milwaukee Riverkeeper naturalist guiding the trip! During this tour, we’ll explore the beauty and biodiversity of our local waterways, while sharing insights about the plants, wildlife, and ecological features of the area.

Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or new to kayaking, this tour offers a relaxed pace and is perfect for anyone curious about nature. As you glide across the water, your guide will point out native birds, aquatic plants, and signs of local wildlife, offering stories and science that help you see the river in a whole new way.

This immersive experience is a great way to connect with nature, learn something new, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of paddling. All gear is included with your ticket, and no prior kayaking experience is necessary.

  • 4:50 PM – Arrive at Villa Grove Park (Mequon)
  • 5:00 PM – Check-in, brief intro, shuttle upriver to Garrison’s Glen
  • 6:15 PM – Kayak fitting, safety/orientation overview, and launch
  • During paddle – Learn about local plants, wildlife, and river ecology
  • 7:00 – 7:30 PM – Take out at Villa Grove Park
