Wild and Scenic Film Festival: Water Tales
Description:
Film Screening and Q&A Panel with Local Experts
We’re taking water to the big screen with a showing of the Wild and Scenic Film Festival: Water Tales. Cozy up and reserve your seat for this screening featuring five insightful short films you won’t want to miss. Witness inspiring stories of water heroes, uncommon volunteers, and indigenous activists, and walk away with a deeper understanding of our relationship to water.
Afterwards, we’ll hear directly from local panel of experts, Mark Denning of Sturgeon Protectors, Karen Murchie of Shedd Aquarium, Pierce VanValkenberg of American Rivers, and Anggita Baruna of Sungai Watch, in a guided discussion on topics like dam removal, fish migration and native stewardship practices. Learn about the impact of these issues in Milwaukee, and how you can be the one to make a difference.
