Watershed Moments: 30 Years of Keeping Our Rivers

For 30 years, Milwaukee Riverkeeper has been protecting and improving the health of the waterways in the Milwaukee River Basin. On October 9th, we’re excited to gather our community to look back on all we have accomplished together and set a bold vision for a future filled with drinkable, fishable, swimmable waters.

Annual Spring Cleanup

Each Earth Month, we bring together partners, neighbors, and water advocates for a one-day massive litter cleanup. In just a few hours, volunteers remove thousands of pounds of nuisance trash from sites all around the Milwaukee River Basin.
During the Annual Event:
- Over 4,000 volunteers turn out
- Over 100,000 lbs of trash is removed from waterways
- More than 100 sites, in 5 counties host cleanups
